POST by JAIRITO: Feuding Family

Jairito and Leiky

Hello, my name is Jairito and I want to share with you a story about my friend, Leiky.

Leiky’s dad and his mum do not get along very well. One day, Leiky’s mum went to church with all of his brothers and sisters. Leiky thought that the church was beautiful. When they got home, his dad was there and he was very mad because he did not know where his mum and family had been.

His dad was so mad that he grabbed an iron bar and hit his mum on the hand really hard with it. His mum then went into the living room and started to cry. She screamed at his dad, and when the dad walked into the room is mum was in, he was really mad and said to her “ If you keep on crying, I am going to hit you and kill you.”

She couldn’t stop crying or screaming, so the dad was going to hit her, but then his sister got in the way and yelled “If you hit her, I am going to call the police!”  In the end he did not hit her but they did get a divorce. Leiky’s dad has done terrible things to his mother.

Jairo & Leiky sucking on lollipops in an Illinois Parade

Hello my name is Leikis. I would like to tell you a little story about my friend Jairito.

Well, my friend’s life was very difficult. His Dad and his Mum did not get on very well because they were always fighting. So, His Mum kicked His Dad out of the house and Jairito’s Dad called his Grandmother and his Grandmother took His Dad in to her house.

My friend Jairito and his brothers were all crying, but the time went by and their Dad came back to the house and started to fight with Jairito's uncle, because he wanted to hurt Jairito’s Mum.

His brothers grabbed their Dad, but then their Dad decided to leave and the Police came to look for their Dad and they grabbed him and took him to jail. When Jairito’s Dad got out of prison, his mother went to go find him and she said "come home please" and he said to the her "yes, ok" and they lived happily forever.

Thanks to God they didn’t fight again.

POST by JONNY: Listen Ear!!!!!!

Myron at the airport for his FIRST evangelism tour

When Myron was 3 years old, he lived in a suburb that is very poor. His house was made very poorly, out of plastic. The biggest problem in Myron’s home was that his mum suffered a lot of physical abuse, daily, by her husband.

One of Myron’s neighbors saw these problems that happened daily in Myron's small home. Their neighbor went over to Myron’s house and addressed the problem. "Why do you let your husband beat you and treat you that way? You have a son who constantly sees everything that your husband does to you and he keeps it in his head and will remember everything." the neighbour said.

Myron’s mum replied, "You know, thank you for coming and asking me, but I think it would be better if you leave my house because my husband could come home and look for more problems with you, please don't come asking anything else, thank you.”

The days went by and the abuse to Myron’s mother continued and more people saw what was happening in their small home. Little Myron heard the cries of his mother and saw her pain every time his dad was home.

One day his dad received a call from a woman who lived in the neighbouring country called Costa Rica, and so he left and went to that land.

Later, after Myron's dad left Nicaragua, everything changed in their small home. One day, the person who had been watching the problems in Myron’s home began to visit again asking if he could help with any economic needs. Myron’s mum accepted his help, and he helped in any way he could.

It was just a few days later that Myron's mum began to like this man who would help her, assisting the family in coming out of the dark and out of a bad life, which Myron's biological Dad had established.

A week had gone by and Myron’s house had begun to change. One of the things that had changed was that Myron’s mum had a new relationship with the man that had helped them in their darkest moments.

Three months later Myron's biological Dad decided to come back to his home in Nicaragua. When he came back he went to his mother’s house, and when he was at his house, all of his extended family told him that his wife had a new husband.

Myron's Dad became really angry and left the house and went to a bar and got very drunk. After a while of being drunk he let himself go to the place where he had lived with Mryon's mother in the past. When he arrived at the house he saw Myron's mum and asked her if they could talk.

“Can we talk for a bit about what has happened here while I have been gone?" he asked. She replied, "I'm sorry, but you have no reason to be here anymore, because I have a new life with my son and my new husband. Do me a favour and leave my house right now."

Myron's Dad became enraged and he started to hit her a lot, so much that she almost fainted. When he saw what he had done to her he left her house.

Myron’s new Dad wasn’t home because he was working, but he received a call from someone who explained that his wife's ex-husband had come back from Costa Rica and he had gone to their house and had beaten his wife. Myron’s new Dad immediately went to his boss and asked for permission to leave, explaining to him what had just transpired at his house.

When Myron’s new Dad got to his house, he saw his wife on the ground covered in blood. He picked her up and put her into bed. He left the house really mad!

After looking around a lot of places he went to this one liquor store and there he found his wife's ex-husband. When he saw him, he got out his machete and attempted to enter the store, but the owners of the establishment wouldn't allow him to enter with the machete.  And so he asked them if he could go in without the machete, and they agreed, so he went on in.

He sat next to Myron's biological Dad and they started to talk, in a way that was more like a fight, and then they started to shout and after that they started a fist fight and they both fell to the ground and some bear bottles broke on their descent. Myron's biological Dad grabbed a broken bottle and he cut the new Dad's ear off. When he saw all the blood that had started to flow out, he left the store and ran away and no one to this day has found him.

A month went by and Myron's new Dad recovered from the fight and his mother became well also. They heard good news from some people that wanted to help them build a new house because their old house was falling apart on account of poor construction and materials. And so the people helped them build their new house.

After 2 months their house was in a better condition and thanks to God their family were going to have a better life.

Thank you for reading this interesting story. God Bless!

POST by JOSE: Trauma Mia (Mumma)

Jose, of Capital on the Edge, flying with Taca

My mum’s childhood was one of the cruelest experiences that I have ever heard of. Everything started when she was just 8 years old. My grandmother got together with a man who wanted to abuse my mum. He would tell her to leave the house and he would not give her anything to eat. My mum told my grandmother about it all, but she did not believe that she did not have a normal childhood.

My mum escapes her parents’ house:

Every time my grandfather told her to leave the house, she would sleep on the streets and would be really hungry and would suffer. She decided to escape all the suffering and abuse.

Relationship of my mum and dad:

My mum ran away from her house at the age of 10. She had a boyfriend who is my dad. He gave her a place to stay and they lived together. He was 19 years old and my mum was only 11.

Abuse to my mum:

After a while, my mum became pregnant. She was only 13 years old. She bore her first son, my first brother, who died. This death affected my mum a heap. At the age of 14, she had me.

Then my dad started to change and he would hit her and treat her bad. There were a lot of times where he would grab her hair and pull her across the room and sometimes he would try to kill her. She had my brother at the age of 17, yet her boyfriend kept on abusing her.

The abondoning:

At the age of 18, she decided to run away from the abuse. She went to another country leaving us with him. Years passed and we did not hear anything about our mother. My dad said that she had been bad to us and that she had abandoned us.

After many years my brother and I grew up. One day I was playing and I saw an elegant and beautiful lady and she approached me and said "son, how are you?" and at that moment I felt really happy and all the hatred I held for my mother, disappeared.

Forgiveness to my mother:

My mum took us with her and we were all very happy. Though, she was the happiest out of us all. The most important thing is that she forgave my grandparents for all of the damage that they had done to her, and the traumatising pain that they left her with.

Years passed and the economic situation became more and more difficult. There were times where we would go hungry and she would always prefer to give us her food so that she would be hungry instead of us.

My mum is my hero and a marvelous woman. I love her a lot. We are extremely poor but at least we are together. I will always help her. I love her.

Forgiveness sets you free:

The best advice you can get is that it does not matter what your mother does, nor what she is, she will always be there to protect you and take care of you. She is your best friend and forgiving makes you feel free. Thank you God for giving us all marvelous mothers!

Jose enjoying dinner with Siren Assembly of God

POST by ELIEZER: Mi Tia

Eliezer of Capital on the Edge

Hello my name is Eliezer. Today I am going to share with you about a person who is very important to me.

My aunt is 30 years old. She has three kids. Two of her children had a father that was very aggressive with them and my aunt. He would hit her and treat them very badly. At times he would tell her to leave the house or sleep on the floor. She was not happy with her life in this condition.

The man married to my aunt had a massive problem with drugs and alcohol consumption. Because of his addictions, he would get mad at everything and over everything. He would treat my aunt and their kids badly, especially when she would ask him for bill and grocery money, because he never had any money – he always wasted it on drugs.

They never had food at their house and so my aunt had to go and ask her neighbors for a little bit of food, so that her kids would eat, but there was never enough for her. She would cry because she could not afford the life that she had.

When the father of my aunt´s kids would go out, my aunt would look for a job to do, so that she could take care of her kids and earn a little bit of money for food. She would wash clothes by hand. The clothes that she washed were not her own, they were the clothes of other people. She would do it even though her husband did not realise she was doing it.

Her husband was a very jealous man and one day, at their house, he found clothes that belonged to another man. He punched her in the face and left her eyes bruised and swollen. He also pulled her hair. It was like he was going to kill her because he was so furious.

Our family found out and we decided that we´d go and rescue her from the man. We formed a group consisting of members from our family.

We went to the house and saw that she was sick and had bruises. We begged her to leave with us but she was scared of that man. With our help she decided to escape from him and to take her two kids with her, but the man did not want to let them go.

We could only take one kid with us and the other one stayed with his father. My aunt was living at my grandmother´s house. She was happier without that man.

The man is now in jail and the other son that stayed with him is in a gang that is always on the streets. The son is in a terrible state because of the bad influence his father was on him, but my aunt has hope that he will soon leave the bad parts of his life behind him and get on with his life.

Thank you reading my story, I hope you liked it.
