Environment: Nicaragua's Renewable Energy Revolution Underway
Nicaragua is setting a new course towards energy security, reducing its dependence on foreign oil from 80% to 6% within a decade, becoming an international leader in renewable technologies by 2016.
Thanks for recognizing the importance of renewable energy and sharing it with others. Our group has worked on one of the environmental impact studies for the windmills, regarding the potential effects on migratory birds. We work throughout Nicaragua, but keep our offices in the Biological Research Station in Laguna de Apoyo Nature Reserve.
